MEET THE STAFF
Connor is a senior this year at Pinelands. He has taken on the role of our sports journalist for The Cat Chronicles because he has aspirations of doing sports journalism and broadcasting in college. In his free time, Connor plays football, basketball, and volleyball for Pinelands as number 13. In addition to playing sports, Connor also has a passion for food and music.

Kylie Dengel is a senior here at Pinelands Regional. She is 18 years old and enjoys spending her free time with her friends. She is a part of the journalism club and she enjoys writing articles for the school newspaper. After high school, she plans to attend Ocean County College for two years, then transfer to TCNJ afterward. Her plan for the future is to work in cyber security. As of right now she is employed at Target and enjoys where she works.

Frank Gordon is a senior at Pinelands. He enjoys reading and writing and is part of the Newspaper Club. He also participates in the theater program at the school. In Frank’s free time, he likes listening to 1990s alternative music. In the future, he plans to study English literature at either Ocean County College or Stockton University to become an English teacher at a high school or college.

Robert Gordon is a 17-year-old senior here at Pinelands. He enjoys a plethora of activities ranging from sports such as baseball and football to some out-of-school activities such as camping and kayaking. His main goal is to become a commercial pilot which he has already started working toward. Robert is currently flying to obtain his private license. He is looking forward to the future and is excited to graduate.

Madison Lyons is a 16-year-old junior at Pinelands Regional Highschool. She is an active member of the newspaper club and the art club. Madison has always loved to write and read. She has a fascination with photography. Her camera roll is filled with pictures of great moments and sunsets. She enjoys exploring new things and places and hopes in the future she will travel. After high school, she plans to go to college.

Sadie Sweet
Sadie Sweet is an eighteen-year-old girl. She
is a senior at Pinelands Regional High School. She plans to go to college and major in psychology and minor in childhood studies to become a children's psychologist. Sadie
enjoys experiencing new things, traveling,
and the little things life has to offer. Sadie is a part of the Journalism club and is the senior editor of the newspaper. She has a
personality that lights up the room and brightens your day. Like most students, she goes through a lot but always pulls through. Her plans for the future are still in the making as we speak.
Jaedyn Thomson is a senior at Pinelands. She is a member of the Newspaper club, Academic Competition, as well as a founder of Pinelands’ Political Science & International Relations club. Jaedyn finds herself occupied with reading, gardening, and dismantling corruption wherever it is found.

Nicholas Wright is a sophomore at Pinelands. He enjoys playing video games, biking, and watching DC movies. Nicholas is a very
reliable person and gets the job done when needed to. He is a very chill person and when you get to know him I’m sure you would love him. He loves that he is in journalism and hopes to show his skills during the school
year. When he graduates he hopes to go into photography or professional wrestling.

Emma Stepnowski is a 17-year-old senior at Pinelands Regional High School. She enjoys participating in creative activities such as painting, drawing, and creative writing. She
is a member of the Pinelands Newspaper
Club and enjoys it very much. Her hobbies include painting, drawing, reading, and
playing the guitar. She is also a member of
the Art club, English club, and French club.
She plans to attend Ocean County College
for 2 years, then transfer to Stockton
University and major in fine arts. She is very friendly and enjoys making new friends. Despite her being very reserved and quiet
she is very outgoing and enjoys exploring the world.
Gerald "Gee" Newsome
Gerald “Gee” Newsome is a junior at Pinelands Regional High School. He has an interest in music, poetry, and the majority of sports that involve some type of contact.
When not in school, he is usually out somewhere with a basketball in his hand, at home playing Xbox, or out with friends. Gee has a very close relationship with his two
older sisters, Autumn and Skye Newsome whom he often looks up to. Joining
journalism meant meeting new people,
forming new friendships, and building on already established ones. He also gets to research and writes for our school
newspaper, The Cat Chronicles which is his idea of fun.
