Starting off an exciting school year, Pinelands has had another successful annual Homecoming. Homecoming is an exhilarating way to bring alumni and friends together and allows current students to have fun and enjoy each other's company. Our school has so many fun activities to offer during this time of the school year such as our spirit week, Homecoming football game, and Homecoming dance. While many of us has had an eventful week during Homecoming, let's recap some of the exciting events that happened.
To kick the week off, our Student Government organized their annual spirit week, which was on October 17th to the 21st. The students of Pinelands Regional High School dressed up for each day during the week to show off their school spirit. On Monday, students were permitted to wear their comfiest pajamas to school. On Tuesday students were encouraged to wear their silliest pair of sunglasses. Wednesday turned controversial when the students came in revealing their white lies on a white T-shirt. On Thursday, the students of Pinelands were transported back to the wild west and showed up in their best western gear. At the end of the week on Friday, students were able to channel their inner Bob The Builder and wear their most sturdy and robust construction outfit on Built Different day.
On Friday, October 21st was the infamous homecoming football game. During this game the Pinelands Regional varsity football team annihilated the Manchester football team with a final score of 48-14. The theme for this year's Homecoming football game organized by our Cat Crazies, was red, white, and blue to show off our student patriotism. During half-time, last year's Homecoming Queen, Bridget Dudas, crowned this year's 2022 Homecoming Queen, Antonella Stankevitch.
The final Homecoming event, the dance, took place on Saturday, October 22nd in the commons of Pinelands Regional High School.Once again last year's Homecoming queen, Bridget Dudas, crowned this year's 2022 Homecoming King, Joe Cardillo.
