Today I interviewed our new Media Center Coordinator, Mr. Sink. Many students may recognize him from George J. Mitchell where previously he taught 1st grade. There are multiple improvements taking place at Pinelands, and one of their goals has been to revamp our Media Center. One of the first steps our administrators took was adding Mr. Sink to the team. His job consists of many things such as managing and building out our school's resources, coming up with innovative new ideas to help our students and teachers branch out, and also assisting with our extremely busy tech department. In the upcoming future, he has plans for a new media center website that will hopefully allow our students to electronically check out books, magazines, and other resources. When I asked Mr. Sink if there were any problems he was facing, he stated that he was nervous to adjust to some of the “big kid” problems. However, it did not take long for him to adapt since he had previously taught a lot of our current students in elementary school.

Mr. Sink graduated from Pinelands 20 years ago and said how crazy it was that it is still the same Pinelands he remembers, just modernized. Mr. Sink is enjoying in his new position and is excited to help Pinelands flourish over the next few years.
