1. A Flicker in the Dark

Chole Davis is a psychologist from a small Louisiana town whose father confessed to murdering six teenage girls when she was 12. 20 Years later, her life begins to unravel when local teens start to go missing, and Chole starts to suspect someone around her may be involved.

2. How It Feels to Float

17 year old Elizabeth's father still appears to her 10 years after his death. Biz, as she's called by friends and family, finds comfort in his ghostly presence and indulges in his stories about her childhood and his love for her mother.

3. Where the Crawdads Sing

A young woman named Kya is left to raise herself in the marshes of North Carolina when her family abandons her at a young age.

4. Crying in H Mart

This story is about Zauners mother, Chongmi, and her deterioration and death from cancer.

5. Asylum Road

A couple, Anya and Luke, drive from London to coastal Provence. Anya is preoccupied with what she feels is a relationship on the verge: unequal and precarious. Luke is reserved and stoic, he gives away nothing.

6. It Ends With Us

A girl named Lily has just moved and is ready to start her life after college. Lily meets a guy named Ryle and she falls for him. As she is developing feelings for Ryle, Atlas- her first love, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle.

7. Little Fires Everywhere

This book is about the nature of art and identity, and the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger of believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

8. American Royals

Beatrice’s parents approach her about selecting a husband, who will rule as the first king consort of America. They want her to make a love match, but they also want her to select from either American nobility or foreign royalty. The two of them put together profiles on the twelve eligible men of whom they approve and ask her to choose from them.

9. All the Light We Cannot See

Madame Manec has organized many of the French townspeople into engaging in acts of resistance against their German occupiers. Although Etienne is initially hesitant, he and Marie-Laure eventually begin to take part.

10. Educated

Shifts in the Westover family dynamic began to emerge when Tara was about nine. Her mother's work as a midwife increased her sense of independence, but after sustaining a serious and untreated brain injury in a car accident, Faye began to lose confidence in her skills, and focused instead on using herbal remedies and a form of intuitive healing.
