Half Asleep : A poem

She was so incredibly tired.
Tired of the way she looked.
Tired of weighing the same.
Tired of the same old clothes she wore.
Tired of being in her own skin.
Tired of her brain and what it kept telling her.
It got even worse at night.
Tired of the way people, especially boys, portrayed her.
Tired of her annoying energetic personality.
Tired of feeling like everyones faking their love towards her.
Tired of school.
Tired of work.
She would soon grow tired of the only things she ever enjoyed in life.
Tired of hanging out with her best friend.
Tired of the constant feeling of not being good enough.
With this, everyday fell into an infinite loop.
No stops.
Not getting better.
She wants to so badly pull herself out of this draining cycle, but her brain is sick and tired of caring.
No more caring.
No more stress.
She soon fell asleep.
Her problems fade away when she’s asleep.
What if she just wants to fall asleep forever?
