Mindset Matters
By Johanna Smith
Throughout history mental health such as a good mindset has increasingly become more important to the set individuals of our society. In other words, it has become an appropriate goal for the majority of people to have.
The human mindset is a stow of beliefs that shape one’s outlook on the world and oneself. These beliefs not only influence how an individual interprets information but also how they will act later in their lives. Yet, there is no doubt that there is diversity concealed within the ideal of mindsets, so what makes one seem positive? Considering the various amounts of experiences in life that one can go through, a positive mindset looks different for everyone. For example, small decisions can influence future habits such as attitudes, this can include hobbies. While one may do yoga to ease their conscience another may find a busy schedule more comforting. Just because it is different doesn't mean it’s wrong.
When discussing one’s self esteem a positive mindset is “essential” when it comes to developing a healthy self esteem as it affects our dialogue, beliefs, attitudes and emotions. However, one can have a negative mindset and create a well rounded self esteem. Although it is more difficult to maintain a sense of comfort, reality and happiness, it isn’t impossible.
Despite life being extremely complex the procedure to make any decision is simple when one has a mindset that benefits them. At the end of the day the decisions one makes are solely based on what one’s experiences are, that's why mindsets matter. To make life easier; to make it more than surviving and more like living.
